Fri Nov 08 02:52:46 UTC 2024: ## Tiger Crashing into Car Near Ahobhilam: Officials Conclude Animal is Safe, Search Continues

**NANDYAL, November 8, 2024** – The search for a tiger that reportedly crashed into a car near Ahobhilam road in Nandyal district has entered its second day. Despite the dramatic incident, officials have concluded that the animal is safe and likely returned to its natural habitat.

The incident occurred on Wednesday when a group of devotees traveling to the Abhobhilam temple encountered the tiger on the road connecting lower and upper Abhobhilam. While the tiger escaped into the dense Nallamalla forests, forest officials immediately launched a search operation, concerned about potential injuries.

Despite the lack of blood indicating a severe injury, a comprehensive search was initiated. “We want to ensure that the animal is safe. If it suffered any injuries, we want to rescue it and provide treatment,” explained Rudravaram Forest Range Officer B Sripati Naidu.

The search efforts have expanded, with officials from Nagarjunasagar Srisailam Tiger Reserve (NSTR) and veterinarians joining on Thursday. The search, which covers a radius of five to six kilometers from the accident site, will continue for another two days.

Trap cameras have also been deployed in the surrounding forests to monitor the tiger’s movements. However, as of Thursday evening, the animal remained elusive.

Naidu stated, “If the animal had been sick or injured, we would have found it in the nearby forests. It seems the animal is safe, but our search will continue for a day or two.”

This incident highlights the potential dangers of wildlife encounters in the Nallamalla forests and underscores the importance of continued monitoring and proactive measures to ensure the safety of both humans and animals.
