**Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir (November 8, 2024):** The Indian Army is holding a recruitment drive in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir from November 8th to 20th. The drive aims to fill over 350 vacancies in the Territorial Army, providing opportunities for local youth to serve their nation.
The recruitment rally, taking place at the Advance Landing Ground in Surankote, will see 307 vacancies for Soldier General Duty and 45 vacancies for Clerks and Tradesmen. Candidates from 31 tehsils in the Jammu division, including Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, and Jammu districts, are eligible for Soldier General Duty positions. Clerks and Tradesmen positions are open to candidates from across the entire Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
“This rally offers young individuals a chance to showcase their skills and contribute to the nation’s defence,” said a defence spokesperson. “The Indian Army and the civil administration of Jammu and Kashmir have joined forces to ensure a smooth and successful recruitment drive.”
The Army hopes the rally will be a success, enabling the youth of the region to serve their nation as “Sons of Soil.”
