Fri Nov 08 00:40:00 UTC 2024: ## Telangana Government Reduces TET Exam Fees, Bringing Relief to Aspirants

Hyderabad: In a move aimed at easing the financial burden on aspiring teachers, the Telangana government has announced a reduction in the fees for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). The new fee structure will see a reduction of ₹250 for one paper (Paper 1 or Paper 2) and ₹1000 for both papers.

Previously, the fee for one paper was ₹1000, and ₹2000 for both papers. The revised fee structure will now be ₹750 for one paper and ₹1000 for both papers.

This decision is expected to benefit a large number of aspiring teachers, especially those from economically weaker sections. The government has also extended a fee waiver to candidates who took the TET exam in May and did not qualify.

The TET application process, which was initially scheduled to begin on November 5th, was delayed due to technical reasons. However, the process has now resumed with the implementation of the new fee structure.

This move by the Telangana government is being lauded by many as a step towards making education more accessible and affordable for all.
