**Mumbai, November 8, 2024:** Renowned television actor Nitish Chauhan, known for his roles in shows like “Splitsvilla 5” and “Tera Yaar Hoon Main”, was found dead on Thursday, November 7th. While the official cause of death remains undisclosed, co-star Vibhuti Thakur has hinted at suicide.
Chauhan, a resident of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, had been residing in Mumbai for several years. His family was informed of the tragic incident and flew to Mumbai to collect his body, which was taken back to Aligarh for the funeral.
Vibhuti Thakur, through an emotional social media post, expressed her grief, suggesting that Chauhan took his own life. “May your soul rest in peace. I wish you had the strength to overcome your struggles. I wish you were as mentally strong as your physique,” she wrote.
Chauhan rose to fame after winning the reality show “Dadagiri 2”. He made his acting debut in the Doordarshan TV show “Zindagi.com”. Following that, he participated in the fifth season of MTV Splitsvilla in 2012 alongside Ali Goni and Paras Chhabra. He was declared the runner-up, with Paras Chhabra emerging as the winner.
Splitsvilla 5 brought Chauhan significant popularity, paving the way for roles in numerous shows such as “Crime Patrol,” “Gumrah,” “Friends: Condition Apply,” and “Savdhan India.” His last appearance was in the television series “Tera Yaar Hoon Main.”
According to reports, Nitish Chauhan was due to celebrate his 36th birthday shortly. His untimely demise has shocked the television industry and left fans and colleagues deeply saddened.
