Fri Nov 08 02:24:39 UTC 2024: ## BJP President’s Bihar Visit Sparks Controversy: Tejaswi Yadav Accuses Nadda of “Holidaying” While State Struggles
Patna, India: Bihar’s former Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav has criticized BJP National President JP Nadda’s recent visit to Patna, accusing him of “holidaying” while the state grapples with issues like unemployment and the demand for special status.
Nadda, who visited Patna on Thursday to celebrate the Chhath festival, was seen touring various ghats with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and attending festivities at the homes of several prominent figures.
Responding to the visit, Tejaswi Yadav stated, “Nadda has come to Bihar for a vacation. He should be focusing on doing something for the state. He should have made a concrete promise to grant Bihar special status, especially ahead of the Chhath festival.”
He further reiterated the demand for special status for Bihar, stating, “What could have been better than giving Bihar special status before Chhath? It’s high time the BJP government addressed this long-standing demand.”
Yadav also addressed the issue of unemployment in Bihar, emphasizing the need for job opportunities for youth. He criticized the BJP for failing to provide adequate employment opportunities and called for economic justice for all.
Nadda’s one-day visit to Bihar comes amidst growing dissatisfaction with the BJP-led government’s performance in the state. The RJD, under the leadership of Tejaswi Yadav, has been vocal in its criticism of the government’s handling of various issues, including unemployment, lack of development, and the persistent demand for special status.
The visit is likely to further fuel the political debate in Bihar, with the RJD stepping up its pressure on the ruling coalition.
