**Salem, November 7, 2024:** A sudden LPG cylinder explosion in a house in Navalur near Veeraganoor, Salem, has left three people injured, one critically.
The incident occurred on Wednesday when 73-year-old V. Arjunan, a resident of the area, visited his relative’s house. A leak in an LPG cylinder led to the explosion.
Local residents P. Chiranjeevi (50), A. Sakthivel (35), and C. Tamilarasan (20) attempted to put out the resulting fire. However, another cylinder exploded, severely injuring the trio.
Fire and Rescue Services personnel arrived on the scene, extinguished the fire, and transported the injured to Attur Government Hospital. Chiranjeevi’s condition is reported to be critical.
The Veeraganoor police have registered a case and are currently investigating the cause of the explosion.
