Thu Nov 07 07:45:40 UTC 2024: ## Fast Bowler Taneale Peschel Set to Make Sydney Thunder Debut in Hometown Clash
**Perth, Australia -** Sydney Thunder fast bowler Taneale Peschel is set to make her highly anticipated debut for the team in a thrilling match against the Brisbane Heat this Thursday, November 7, at the WACA Ground in Perth.
Peschel, who returns from a minor injury sustained during the T20 Spring Challenge, replaces Paris Bowdler in the travelling squad. This match holds special significance for the bowler as it marks her return to her hometown after joining Thunder following six seasons with the Perth Scorchers.
“I’m really excited about the opportunity to step out onto the WACA in Thunder colours,” said Peschel. “It’s an iconic ground that I know so well, and it will be special to play in front of my family and friends too. It feels like coming full circle.”
The match also sees Thunder captain Phoebe Litchfield sporting a unique shirt number ‘0’ and adopting the name ‘Towards Zero’, in support of the Road Safety Cup initiative. The campaign aims to promote safer driving habits and reduce road fatalities, with partnerships between Transport for NSW, Sydney Thunder, Queensland Transport and Main Roads, and Brisbane Heat.
The top-of-the-table Thunder will be looking to continue their winning streak against the fourth-placed Heat. The match promises to be a highly competitive encounter as both teams fight for the Road Safety Cup.
Fans can catch all the action live on Fox Cricket and Kayo on Thursday, November 7 from 5:05pm (AEDT).
