**Quezon City, Philippines** – The QCinema International Film Festival (QCIFF) has announced the second year of its QCinema Project Market (QPM), a platform connecting Southeast Asian filmmakers with funding partners, producers, and international collaborators. The event will take place from November 14th to 16th, alongside the Asian Next Wave Film Forum and Creative Industries Day.
QPM aims to foster co-productions and elevate Southeast Asian stories to the global stage. “There’s a growing number of investors in the Philippines recognizing the potential of films for the international market,” said Liza Diño, Executive Director of the Quezon City Film Commission (QCFC). “QPM aims to capitalize on this exciting opportunity.”
The market will facilitate one-on-one meetings, project presentations, and networking events for feature film projects in development. Awards, totaling over P5 million, will be given out across ten categories, providing financial support and essential post-production services to promising projects.
This year’s QPM features seven Southeast Asian projects, showcasing diverse narratives from the region. Thirteen projects from both established and upcoming Filipino filmmakers are also part of the selection, demonstrating the country’s vibrant storytelling tradition.
The QCFC will also host the Creative Industries Day on November 15th, an immersive event designed to foster collaboration across sectors in the creative economy. The Asian Next Wave Film Forum will take place on November 16th, featuring industry leaders from major festivals like Venice, Toronto, and Busan, as well as celebrated filmmakers and producers from across Southeast Asia. The forum will explore the convergence of art and genre cinema and its impact on the region’s storytelling landscape.
The winners of the QPM awards will be announced on November 16th.
