Thu Nov 07 02:30:00 UTC 2024: ## Telangana High Court Dismisses Petition Seeking FIR Against CM Revanth Reddy

**Hyderabad, November 6, 2024:** The Telangana High Court on Wednesday dismissed a writ petition filed by BRS leader Errolla Srinivas, seeking an FIR against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for allegedly abusing BRS leaders.

Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy ruled that the petition was not maintainable as Srinivas lacked locus standi in the matter. Srinivas had approached the Banjara Hills police, claiming that the CM made derogatory remarks against BRS supremo K. Chandrasekhar Rao and other leaders during a public meeting in Palamuru on March 6.

Srinivas argued that the CM’s alleged actions could incite violence and disrupt public order. However, the judge dismissed the petition, stating that Revanth Reddy, as the state’s Chief Minister, is likely to address various public issues in his speeches, and these cannot be considered grounds for legal action.
