The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for several counties in the Denver metro area, warning of potentially hazardous travel conditions.

The first snow of the season hit Denver on Tuesday, accumulating nearly 2 inches by the evening. However, the worst of the storm is yet to come, with the heaviest snowfall expected to occur in the southern and southwestern parts of the metro area. Some areas south of Denver, including Aurora, Centennial, Highlands Ranch, and Parker, could see between 7 and 17 inches of snow by Friday morning.
