Amazon Prime Video’s latest release, “Citadel: Honey Bunny,” directed by Raj & DK and starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha, is an action-packed spy thriller that falls into familiar tropes. While the story itself is not particularly groundbreaking, Raj & DK’s signature style and the lead actors’ strong performances keep the series engaging.

The story follows Honey (Samantha), a cafe owner in Nainital, who finds herself entangled in a dangerous game involving a powerful weapon called ‘Armored.’ Meanwhile, her husband Bunny (Varun Dhawan), who believes her dead, returns from abroad to find her.

The series cleverly uses a non-linear screenplay, showcasing events in 1992 and 2000, gradually revealing Honey’s past and her connection to the ‘Citadel’ organization. Menon as Guru, Simran, and Shaqeeb Salim, all contribute effectively to the narrative.
