Wed Nov 06 21:33:33 UTC 2024: ## Real Madrid in Crisis After Second Consecutive Defeat

**Madrid, Spain -** Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed deep concern after his team suffered a shocking 3-1 defeat to AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday. This loss marks the second consecutive defeat for the reigning champions, a rare occurrence they haven’t experienced in over three years.

The loss comes on the heels of a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Barcelona in the El Clasico, further highlighting the team’s recent slump. Ancelotti acknowledged the team’s struggles, citing defensive weaknesses and a lack of attacking potency as key issues.

“We have to be concerned, the team is not playing well,” Ancelotti said in a press conference. “The team is not compact, we need to be more organized, we’ve conceded a lot of goals… We need to work on our organization on the pitch.”

Real Madrid currently sits in 17th place in the expanded Champions League table with only six points from four matches. Ancelotti urged his team to quickly regroup to secure a top-eight finish and remain in contention for the title.

“We have to focus on what we have today, which is a team that is not at its best, and get back to our level so we can fight for all competitions,” he added.

The manager also addressed the defensive issues, noting that the team has conceded nine goals in their last three home games. He dismissed the boos directed at players like Aurelien Tchouameni and Kylian Mbappe as a result of the team’s collective performance rather than individual failings.

“It’s not an issue of motivation or attitude, it’s a collective thing that we need to fix quickly,” Ancelotti said. “On the pitch something is missing and we have not been able to show our best version. We have to fix this, but the nights are going to be very long and we have to recover the solidity that we are lacking.”

Ancelotti concluded by emphasizing the need for a unified response to the team’s recent struggles, acknowledging the criticism while also expressing confidence in the team’s ability to improve.

“We have to accept criticism and accept reality,” he said. “We want to do better because it’s very difficult to get to the end of the season like this. We have to defend better and we have to look for solutions, without going crazy after drastic changes. We are confident that this team will improve.”
