**Dhanbad, November 5, 2024:** With the auspicious festival of Chhath Puja approaching, the Dhanbad administration has stepped up its efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of devotees. Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra and Senior Superintendent of Police Hridip P. Janardanan inspected several Chhath ghats across the district, accompanied by Municipal Commissioner Ravi Raj Sharma and ADM Law and Order Piyush Sinha.
The inspection covered prominent ghats like Dhaia Rani Bandh, Bekar Bandh, Rajendra Sarovar, Railway Colony’s Pampu Talab, and Raja Talab in Jharia. The officials instructed the talab committees to prioritize the safety of devotees by deploying adequate security personnel, setting up barricades in deep water areas, providing ample lighting, and ensuring the presence of divers and volunteers.
The Deputy Commissioner also informed that cleaning operations have commenced at all ghats, with bleach and alum being used to maintain water purity. Traffic plans have been implemented to ensure smooth access for devotees, while sufficient police forces will be deployed at each ghat.
The administration’s meticulous preparations, including security measures, sanitation, and logistical arrangements, demonstrate their commitment to ensuring a safe and peaceful Chhath Puja celebration for all.
