**Bridgetown, Barbados:** The West Indies have triumphed over England in the three-match ODI series, securing a 2-1 victory after a convincing 8-wicket win in the final match.
The series decider saw England post a respectable 263/8, thanks to fifties from Phil Salt (74) and Dan Mousley (57). However, the target proved to be no challenge for the West Indies batting lineup.
The Windies were off to a shaky start, losing opener Evin Lewis early. However, a magnificent partnership between Brandon King (102) and Kieron Pollard (128*) ensured a comfortable victory. The duo’s 209-run stand, the second highest ODI partnership ever recorded in the Caribbean, proved to be too much for the English bowlers to handle. King was later named Player of the Match.
The Windies had already taken the first match of the series by 8 wickets, while England bounced back to win the second match by 5 wickets.
The two sides will now shift their focus to the upcoming five-match T20I series, beginning on November 9th.
