Tue Nov 05 18:55:18 UTC 2024: ## 60-Year-Old Woman Electrocuted While Using Geyser in Ranipet

**Arakkonam, November 6, 2024:** A 60-year-old woman was electrocuted while switching on a geyser at her home in Konalam village near Arakkonam, Ranipet district on Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as S. Kamala, was a mother of four and lived with her sons. According to police reports, Kamala was electrocuted while turning on the geyser. Her son, S. Manickam, heard a noise coming from the bathroom and rushed in to find her unconscious.

Kamala was initially taken to the Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) in Mudhur village, but was subsequently referred to the Government Taluk Hospital in Arakkonam. Sadly, she was declared dead on arrival.

Arakkonam Taluk police have registered a case and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fatal electrocution.
