**Chennai, India – November 6, 2024** – Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services, Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, has called on young entrepreneurs and start-up founders to drive growth and innovation in Tamil Nadu. Speaking at FICCI’s T.N. Young Leadership Summit and Awards 2024, the Minister highlighted the unique opportunity presented by India’s young population.

“We are at a pivotal point in our nation’s history,” he stated, “with a larger young population than ever before. This is the time to identify and encourage young leaders, as we will soon see a demographic shift towards an aging population.”

Rajan emphasized the need for entrepreneurial spirit to leverage the country’s resources and create jobs. “We need innovators and entrepreneurs to bring about positive change, improve the quality of life for our citizens, and ensure a prosperous future,” he said.

The event saw the awarding of various categories, including youth icon of the year and outstanding business leader in education. Several prominent figures in business and academia addressed the gathering, including C.K. Kumaravel, A. Velumani, Ishari K. Ganesh, GSK Velu, Bhupesh Nagarajan, and Preethaa Ganesh.
