**Kanpur, India:** The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) has announced major changes to the eligibility criteria for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam. The new guidelines, available on the official website jeeadv.ac.in, include updates on the number of attempts, performance in JEE Mains, age limits, and other eligibility requirements for both Indian and international students.

**Key Changes:**

* **Increased Attempts:** Candidates can now appear for JEE Advanced for a maximum of three consecutive years, previously limited to two attempts.
* **JEE Mains Performance:** Candidates must be ranked within the top 2,50,000 in the JEE Mains Paper 1 exam. This includes 10% for General-EWS, 15% for SC, 27% for OBC-NCL, 40/5% for the Open category, and 7.5% for ST candidates.
* **Reservation for PwD:** 5% reservation is available for PwD candidates within each category.
