Wed Nov 06 16:30:56 UTC 2024: ## Eshwarappa Accuses Congress Leaders of Eyeing CM Post Amidst Siddaramaiah’s Troubles

**Kalaburagi, November 6, 2024:** Former Deputy Chief Minister K.S. Eshwarappa has accused Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge of plotting to replace Chief Minister Siddaramaiah amid the ongoing MUDA land-grab case.

Speaking to the press in Kalaburagi, Eshwarappa alleged that the Congress high command is hesitant to accept Siddaramaiah’s resignation, fearing the collapse of the Karnataka government. He further claimed that prominent Congress leaders are vying for the Chief Minister’s position, viewing the current situation as an opportunity.

Eshwarappa quipped that the Congress party’s silence on the matter is a reflection of their fear of losing their “ATM” if the government falls. He also highlighted that this is the first time in Karnataka’s history that a sitting Chief Minister has been interrogated by Lokayukta officials, referring to Siddaramaiah’s recent questioning in connection with the MUDA land-grab case.
