**Canberra, November 6, 2024** – India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar concluded a series of high-level meetings in Canberra today, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations with Australia and other key regional partners.

During his visit, Jaishankar met with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, conveying Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s greetings and discussing avenues to further enhance the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Jaishankar also engaged with other prominent figures, including Peter Dutton, leader of the Liberal Party of Australia, and Winston Peters, New Zealand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. The discussions with these leaders focused on global issues, bilateral cooperation, and strengthening regional ties.

In a separate meeting, Jaishankar met with UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reiterating the strong relationship between India and the UAE.

Jaishankar’s visit to Australia, which began on November 3rd, has underscored India’s commitment to deepening strategic partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region.
