**Gadag, November 6, 2024:** A devastating accident on the Hubballi-Vijayapura National Highway No 218 claimed the lives of a couple and left their two children injured on Wednesday. The accident occurred near Bhairanahatti village in Nargund taluk, involving a truck and a car.

The deceased have been identified as Siddarama and Hema, residents of Bagalkot. Their children, Mallikarjun and Sahana, sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the taluk hospital in Nargund.

The family was returning to their hometown after visiting the Kukke Subramanya Temple when the tragic accident occurred.
