Tue Nov 05 02:24:26 UTC 2024: ## Schneider Electric Ousts CEO Peter Herweck Amid Strategy Divergences

**Paris, France** – Schneider Electric, the French industrial giant specializing in energy management and automation, has abruptly removed CEO Peter Herweck from his position, effective immediately. The company cited “divergences in the execution of the company roadmap” as the reason for the dismissal, citing a need to accelerate its strategy and enter a new phase of development.

Herweck, who had only been in the role since May 2023, previously served as CEO of industrial software group AVEVA. He has a long history in the industry, having held leadership positions at Siemens and Schneider Electric itself.

The Board of Directors has appointed Olivier Blum, currently the head of Schneider’s energy management business and a member of the executive committee since 2014, to replace Herweck. Blum is expected to drive the implementation of Schneider’s strategic vision.

While the specific nature of the disagreements between Herweck and the Board regarding the company’s strategy remain unclear, Schneider Electric emphasized the need for a shift in leadership to navigate the “significant opportunities” facing the company.
