**Darbhanga, Bihar:** The long-awaited construction of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Darbhanga is finally taking shape. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the project on November 13th, marking a significant milestone in the development of healthcare infrastructure in the region.

The project, which is estimated to cost INR 1261 crores, will be undertaken by HSCCC India Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of NBCC Limited. The Bihar government has already handed over 188 acres of land to the central government for the construction. The AIIMS is expected to be completed within three years, providing high-quality medical care to the people of Mithilanchal, including neighboring Nepal and surrounding regions.

The news of the foundation stone laying ceremony was confirmed by Darbhanga MLA Sanjay Sarawagi. He highlighted the long-standing demand for an AIIMS in Darbhanga and expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for fulfilling the aspirations of the people.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is also expected to attend the ceremony.
