**Kolkata, November 5, 2024:** The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has released the admit cards for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 today, as per the official notification. Candidates who have registered for the exam can visit the official website iimcat.ac.in to download their hall tickets.
The registration window for CAT 2024 opened on August 1, 2024, and closed on September 20, 2024. The exam is scheduled to be held on November 24, 2024.
The CAT exam is the gateway for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate and doctoral-level business programs at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), as well as several non-IIM institutions that consider CAT scores in their selection process.
After qualifying in the CAT exam, aspirants will be subjected to further selection rounds at the IIMs. Details of the admission policies for each IIM are available on their respective websites.

**CAT 2024 Exam Pattern:**
The CAT 2024 exam will consist of three key sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA).
Candidates will have a total of 120 minutes to complete the exam, with each section having a time limit of 40 minutes. Switching between sections is prohibited.
The exam will contain 66 questions in a combination of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Type-in-the-Answer (TITA) format. The marking scheme will be +3 points for correct answers and a penalty of -1 for incorrect MCQ responses.
