**Pandhurna, Madhya Pradesh:** Three individuals have been arrested in Pandhurna district after a disturbing video of them torturing a minor boy went viral on social media. The video, which surfaced on Monday, shows the boy hanging upside down with his hands tied, while hot coal is placed near his head. The incident occurred in Mohgaon, around 30 km from the district headquarters, on Sunday.
The video also shows a second boy being tied up and people accusing the first boy of stealing a watch and other items.
Police have identified and arrested the three individuals allegedly involved in the incident. They have been charged under sections 137(2) (kidnapping), 127(2) (wrongful confinement), 115 (causing hurt), 296 (obscene act) and other relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath condemned the incident, calling it “highly condemnable” and demanding strict action against the culprits. He stressed the need for legal action instead of resorting to such barbaric methods. Nath also expressed concern about the negative impact of these actions on the region’s reputation.
The incident has sparked outrage and concern in the state, highlighting the need for stricter measures against child abuse and the importance of upholding the rule of law.
