Mon Nov 04 10:05:48 UTC 2024: ## Aprilia Unveils Tuono 457 at EICMA 2024: A Naked Sport Sibling to the RS 457

**Milan, Italy** – Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia is set to unveil the Tuono 457 at the upcoming EICMA 2024, a naked sport motorcycle based on the same platform as its popular RS 457 sibling. This follows a similar pattern to the brand’s successful RS and Tuono 660 and RSV4/Tuono V4 1100 models.

The Tuono 457 teaser reveals a new headlight design with LED DRLs that bear a resemblance to the TVS Raider. The motorcycle boasts a streetfighter styling with contemporary design elements and eye-catching graphics, much like its fully-faired counterpart. While the rear section appears similar to the RS 457, the Tuono sports winglets below the headlight.

In terms of performance, the Tuono 457 is expected to share the same 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine as the RS 457, producing 46.9 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque. The motorcycle will also likely feature a 6-speed gearbox. While the Tuono and RS 457 share the same suspension and wheels, the Tuono differentiates itself with a single-piece handlebar, replacing the clip-on handlebars of the RS 457. This results in a more comfortable riding position for the Tuono.

Feature-wise, the Tuono 457 is expected to mirror the RS 457’s offerings, including a TFT screen, multiple riding modes, and electronic rider aids such as ABS and traction control. Aprilia may offer a bi-directional quick-shifter as an optional extra.

The Tuono 457 will be assembled at Aprilia’s plant in Baramati, Maharashtra, alongside its RS 457 sibling. While the RS 457 retails for ₹4.10 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tuono 457 is anticipated to be priced at ₹4 lakh (ex-showroom).

Aprilia’s latest addition to its lineup promises to be a thrilling and versatile naked sport motorcycle, offering the same performance and technology as the RS 457 in a more accessible and comfortable package.
