**Hyderabad, India** – The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) results for 2024 were declared on Monday, with over 50% of the 368,661 candidates who appeared for the exam qualifying. The results are available on the official website, aptet.apcfss.in.

A total of 187,256 candidates cleared the exam, achieving a pass percentage of 50.79%. The APTET exams were conducted from October 3 to October 21 in two shifts, with a provisional answer key released after the examination. Candidates were able to submit objections, which were reviewed before the final answer key was published on October 29.

The qualifying score for the exam varies based on category, with a 60% pass rate for the open category, 50% for BC, and 40% for SC, ST, ex-servicemen, and differently abled candidates.

The APTET certificate, which is valid for a lifetime, is essential for aspiring teachers who wish to apply to government schools in Andhra Pradesh.

**DSC Recruitment Notification Imminent:**

The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department’s District Selection Committee (DSC) is expected to announce the advertisement for a teacher’s job soon. Education (Human Resource Development) Minister Nara Lokesh announced the APTET July results and confirmed the upcoming DSC recruitment notification. While the APTET is a crucial eligibility criteria for becoming a teacher in Andhra Pradesh, it does not guarantee a job. Candidates who have cleared the exam will still need to participate in the recruitment drive.
