**New Delhi, India** – Royal Enfield has entered the electric motorcycle market with a new brand called “Flying Flea,” inspired by the iconic WWII-era Royal Enfield Flying Flea, a lightweight motorcycle designed for airborne deployment. The first model, the Flying Flea C6, promises a retro-futuristic design with modern technology.
The C6 boasts a round LED headlight, girder forks, a lightweight, forged aluminium frame, and a diminutive design featuring skinny 17-inch tires, suggesting a focus on urban mobility. Images reveal a comfortable riding position and a two-seater option, while features like a round TFT display, cornering ABS, and traction control are confirmed.
While specifications are yet to be revealed, Royal Enfield anticipates a range of 100-150 kilometers and a solid power and torque output.
The Flying Flea C6 joins a growing market of electric motorcycles in India, where models like the Revolt RV 400, Matter Aera 5000, and Ola Roadster already exist. The pricing of the C6 remains a key question, as its competitive position will largely depend on it.
Royal Enfield’s foray into the electric motorcycle segment marks a significant move for the classic motorcycle manufacturer, aiming to bring its heritage and design elements to a new, technologically advanced market.
