Sun Nov 03 19:34:11 UTC 2024: ## Sisters Attack Former DSP and Family After Honking Dispute in Delhi
**New Delhi, November 4, 2024:** Two sisters, Bhavya Jain (23) and Charvi Jain (21), were arrested on Sunday after a violent attack on a former Uttar Pradesh Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and his family in east Delhi’s Vasundhara Enclave. The attack stemmed from a dispute over honking.
The incident occurred on Saturday night at Anekant Apartments when Ashok Kumar, the former DSP and a cancer patient, requested the sisters to stop honking. The sisters, enraged by Kumar’s request, stormed into his apartment, armed with a knife, and attacked him and his family. Residents who tried to intervene also suffered minor injuries. The sisters also vandalized the apartment, damaging flowerpots.
The police were alerted and arrived at the scene, but the sisters attempted to flee in their car. They were apprehended after a chase, during which they hit a two-wheeler rider and dragged his scooter for several meters. They also rammed through the society’s gate barrier.
This incident marks the second time the sisters have been involved in such violence. In September, they were booked for wrongfully confining and injuring a security guard, leading to a non-bailable warrant being issued against them.
Both sisters are now facing charges of attempted murder.
