**Hyderabad:** The Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) notification for 2024 has been released, opening the door for aspiring teachers to apply. The application window is open from **November 5th to 20th**. The exam will be conducted online in a computer-based format from **January 1st to 20th, 2025**.

This is the second TET exam of the year, following the previous exam held in May. The government had announced plans for two TET exams annually and has adhered to its commitment. The notification, released on Monday, was in line with the job calendar announced in August.

Candidates who have completed D.Ed for Paper-1 and B.Ed for Paper-2 are eligible to apply. The TET qualification is mandatory for promotions to the School Assistant position, making the exam crucial for in-service teachers as well.

This will be the tenth TET exam since its inception, with six exams conducted after the state’s formation. Notably, the Congress government is conducting the second TET exam within a year of coming to power.
