**Bengaluru, November 3, 2024:** A 21-year-old student, Punith, succumbed to injuries three days after being assaulted by a group of youths at a farmhouse near Ramanagara. The incident occurred on October 26 when Punith and his classmates, including girls, were on vacation at the farmhouse.
According to the police, Punith objected to the accused, Chandru, Nagesh, and Murali, clicking pictures and recording videos of his female classmates while they were swimming. This led to heated arguments, during which the trio allegedly attacked Punith with a wooden log, causing severe head injuries.
Punith was rushed to a private hospital but succumbed to his injuries three days later. Based on a complaint filed by his classmates, the Ramanagara police arrested the three accused and charged them with murder. The accused are residents of Honnapura and have been taken into custody.
