**Mumbai, India** – Mumbai City FC secured a dramatic 4-2 victory over Kerala Blasters FC at the Mumbai Football Arena on Sunday, securing their second win of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season. The Islanders, who remained undefeated against Kerala Blasters at the Mumbai Football Arena since 2018, fought hard to overcome a resilient Kerala side.
The first half saw Nikolaos Karelis put Mumbai City FC ahead in the 9th minute, showcasing his accuracy with a close-range finish. Karelis added another goal from the penalty spot in the 55th minute, giving the Islanders a comfortable lead.
However, Kerala Blasters FC clawed their way back into the game, scoring two quick goals through Jesus Jimenez in the 57th minute and Kwame Peprah in the 71st minute. The game took a dramatic turn when Peprah was sent off, leaving Kerala with 10 men.
This opened the door for Mumbai City FC to secure the win. Mumbai City FC will next face Chennaiyin FC on November 9th, while Kerala Blasters FC will take on Hyderabad FC on November 7th.
