**Mumbai, India** – Mumbai City FC secured a dramatic 4-2 victory over Kerala Blasters FC at the Mumbai Football Arena on Sunday, securing their second win of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season. The Islanders, who remained undefeated against Kerala Blasters at the Mumbai Football Arena since 2018, fought hard to overcome a resilient Kerala side.

The first half saw Nikolaos Karelis put Mumbai City FC ahead in the 9th minute, showcasing his accuracy with a close-range finish. Karelis added another goal from the penalty spot in the 55th minute, giving the Islanders a comfortable lead.

However, Kerala Blasters FC clawed their way back into the game, scoring two quick goals through Jesus Jimenez in the 57th minute and Kwame Peprah in the 71st minute. The game took a dramatic turn when Peprah was sent off, leaving Kerala with 10 men.

This opened the door for Mumbai City FC to secure the win. Nathan Rodrigues, a graduate of the Reliance Foundation Young Champs, scored the go-ahead goal in the 75th minute, becoming the fourth youngest goal-scorer for Mumbai City FC in the ISL. Skipper Lallianzuala Chhangte sealed the victory with a penalty conversion in the 90th minute.

Karelis was named the Key Performer of the Match, having scored two goals, completing 10 out of 11 passes, and making one tackle.

Mumbai City FC will next face Chennaiyin FC on November 9th, while Kerala Blasters FC will take on Hyderabad FC on November 7th.
