Mon Nov 04 11:49:07 UTC 2024: ## Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Threatens to Take Over Home Ministry Amidst Rising Crime

**Pithapuram, Andhra Pradesh:** Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan has publicly criticized the state’s Home Minister Anitha, accusing her of incompetence in handling the rising crime rate. Kalyan issued a stark warning, stating that he would be forced to take over the home department himself if there is no significant improvement in law and order.

Kalyan’s warning comes in the wake of a recent spike in crimes against women, including the sexual assault of a three-year-old girl. He declared that peace and security in Andhra Pradesh have deteriorated significantly and demanded that the situation be tackled with the same rigor as in Uttar Pradesh under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

“I am telling Home Minister Anitha too. You are the Home Minister. I am the Panchayati Raj minister, Forest and Environment minister. Discharge your duties well or I will be forced to take over home department as well,” Kalyan stated at a rally in his constituency.

Kalyan further added that political leaders have a responsibility to ensure safety and security, not just seek votes. He even went so far as to threaten that if he takes over the home ministry, things will “be very different for these people.”

While the public criticism has sparked speculation of a rift between Kalyan and the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP), senior minister Narayana has defended Kalyan’s actions, stating that as Deputy Chief Minister, he has the right to highlight mistakes and set ministers on the right track.

Kalyan’s actions follow his recent announcement of the formation of ‘Narasimha Varahi Brigade,’ a dedicated wing within his party focused on protecting Sanatana Dharma. He has asserted his commitment to upholding his faith, stating that anyone who insults or disrespects Sanatana Dharma on social media will face consequences.
