**Palakkad, Kerala -** The Election Commission of India (ECI) has postponed the by-election in the Palakkad Assembly constituency from November 13 to November 20, citing requests from several political parties and socio-cultural organizations. The decision was made to avoid clashing with the Kalpathy Rathotsavam, a significant religious festival in the region, scheduled to begin on November 6 with the main procession commencing on November 13.
However, the by-elections in the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency and the Chelakkara Assembly constituency will be held as scheduled on November 13. The counting of votes for all three constituencies will take place on November 23.
