Honda Cars India has released a teaser image of the upcoming third-generation Honda Amaze, hinting at its imminent launch in the coming weeks. The teaser reveals a redesigned front fascia, taking inspiration from the popular Honda City model.
The new Amaze boasts a refreshed look with prominent LED headlights featuring a twin, cuboidal shape. A chrome strip extends from the grille, reminiscent of the City, while the grille design itself is expected to be distinct, potentially drawing inspiration from the City e:HEV. The headlamp housing also features a new design.
The teaser image also hints at a wider, more upright stance than its predecessors. Sharp creases on the bonnet and angular fog lamp housing further emphasize the revamped design. Body-contrast black ORVMs add a stylish touch.
While complete details remain under wraps, Honda has confirmed that the new Amaze will be less than 4 meters long and will be powered by a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated petrol engine. Transmission options will include manual and AMT gearboxes.
Takuya Tsumura, President and CEO of Honda Cars India, expressed excitement about the new Amaze, emphasizing its potential to further elevate the standard of design and sophistication in the entry sedan segment.
The new Amaze is set to compete directly with the upcoming fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which is scheduled for launch on November 11th. Maruti Suzuki has already commenced pre-bookings for the new Dzire at a booking amount of ₹11,000.
