**MUMBAI, INDIA -** A 24-year-old woman, Fatima Khan, was apprehended and later released by Mumbai police after she allegedly sent a death threat to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Khan, an IT graduate residing in Ulhasnagar, Thane district, was arrested in a joint operation by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad and police on Sunday, November 3rd. She was brought to Mumbai for questioning and subsequently released after being served a notice.
Police investigations revealed that Khan, despite her qualifications, is reportedly mentally unstable. Her father works in the timber business. The threat was issued through a WhatsApp message sent to Mumbai traffic police on Saturday, November 2nd. The message stated that Adityanath would be killed within 10 days if he did not resign as Chief Minister, referencing the recent assassination of NCP leader Baba Siddique.
This incident comes as Adityanath is expected to visit Maharashtra for campaigning ahead of the November 20th Assembly elections. Police remain on high alert following the threat.
