Mon Nov 04 09:06:20 UTC 2024: ## Stalin Rejects Criticism, Reiterates Commitment to People
**Chennai, November 4, 2024:** Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday brushed aside criticism from newly formed political parties, saying his government remains focused on serving the people. Responding to the emergence of new parties seeking to challenge the DMK, Stalin invoked a statement by late DMK founder C.N. Annadurai, wishing his critics a long life.
“In the words of Anna, ‘long live critics!’,” Stalin said, adding that his government’s priority lies in fulfilling the people’s trust, not engaging in unnecessary debates. He highlighted the DMK government’s achievements over the past three and a half years, urging critics to consider the progress made.
His remarks come in the wake of actor Vijay’s new party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), labeling the DMK as its “political enemy.”
During his speech at a government function in his constituency, Stalin also addressed the ongoing legal battle against NEET, which he attributed to the suicide of S. Anitha, a student who couldn’t pursue an MBBS course due to poor NEET scores.
“NEET destroyed her dreams and snatched her life,” he said, expressing confidence in the eventual victory of Tamil Nadu’s fight against the exam.
Stalin concluded his speech by announcing several new welfare measures aimed at benefiting the people.
