**MUMBAI, INDIA** – Mumbai City FC secured a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Kerala Blasters FC at the Mumbai Football Arena on Sunday, in a match that saw three penalty kicks awarded.

The game was a thrilling affair, with both teams trading blows. Nikolaos Karelis opened the scoring for Mumbai in the 9th minute, while Kerala responded with two goals from Kwame Peprah, including a spectacular acrobatic header. Peprah, however, received a second yellow card for excessive celebrations following his second goal, leaving Kerala with a man down for the final 20 minutes.

Just when it seemed Kerala might steal a point, Mumbai rallied. Nathan Rodrigues equalized in the 75th minute, before Lallianzuala Chhangte converted a penalty in the 88th minute to put Mumbai ahead for good. Chhangte’s goal was particularly noteworthy, as it marked his 150th appearance in the ISL.

Mumbai’s victory was made even more impressive by the fact that they converted two of the three penalties awarded in the match, while Kerala only scored one from the spot.

The win gives Mumbai City FC their second victory of the season, moving them to 7th place in the standings. Kerala Blasters, meanwhile, remain in 10th place with two wins from their seven games.

This was also the second consecutive victory for Mumbai City FC against Kerala Blasters at the Mumbai Football Arena, extending their unbeaten streak against the Kerala side at home since January 14, 2018.

Mumbai City FC will face Chennaiyin FC on November 9th, while Kerala Blasters FC will take on Hyderabad FC on November 7th.
