Mon Nov 04 08:50:00 UTC 2024: ## Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu Issues Stern Warning to Minister Over Party Membership Drive
**Amaravati, November 4:** Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly issued a strong warning to a state minister for his lackluster performance in the party’s membership drive. Sources within the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) revealed that the CM summoned the minister, Vasamsetti Subhash, and expressed his displeasure over the low membership numbers in the minister’s constituency.
Naidu, known for his commitment to developing the state and fulfilling his election promises, has been urging all party members, including MLAs and ministers, to actively participate in the membership drive. While stressing the importance of serving the people, the CM has also maintained a zero-tolerance policy towards any negligence or misconduct by party members.
According to reports, the CM questioned the minister’s seriousness towards his political responsibilities. He emphasized the importance of the membership drive, highlighting that only 29% of the target membership had been achieved in the minister’s constituency, with just 2,630 members enrolled out of a target of 9,000.
Naidu reportedly reminded the minister of the trust placed in him, despite his origins in another state, by appointing him as MLA and later, a minister. He further stated that the minister needs to prove his commitment to the party and its goals, warning that failure to do so will have consequences, including possible replacements.
This incident has sparked discussions within the party and across the state, with the CM’s strict approach towards ensuring party discipline attracting attention.
