Sun Nov 03 21:50:37 UTC 2024: ## NDA Fights Bypolls on Allegations of Congress Misrule

**Bengaluru, November 4, 2024:** The upcoming bypolls for three Assembly seats have been framed by the NDA as a referendum on the alleged maladministration of the Congress government. Leader of the Opposition, R. Ashok, stated on Sunday that the NDA is campaigning against the Congress due to its perceived poor governance.

Ashok highlighted the Congress government’s perceived failures, citing the lack of funds for development projects, the 16-month delay in providing milk incentives to farmers, and the alleged land seizures by the waqf board. He pledged that the BJP will protest until irregularities related to the waqf board are rectified.

However, Congress spokesperson Ramesh Babu dismissed Ashok’s accusations as desperate attempts to maintain his political position. Babu asserted that the Congress has no need to campaign on the platform of maladministration, suggesting that it is the BJP that is seeking to leverage this issue.

The bypolls are expected to be closely contested, with both the NDA and Congress utilizing the campaign to highlight their respective strengths and weaknesses.
