**Mumbai, India** – Popular actress Nia Sharma will be celebrating the upcoming festival of Bhai Dooj virtually with her brother, Vinay Sharma. The two siblings, who share a close bond, will be missing out on their traditional ritual this year.

Vinay, an IT professional based in Bengaluru, recently visited Mumbai to celebrate Nia’s birthday “in a grand way.” However, he has since returned to Bengaluru, making a physical celebration of Bhai Dooj impossible.

“He often surprises me with gifts; we don’t need an occasion to gift each other,” shared Nia, describing their close relationship. “We have a small ritual on Bhai Dooj, wherein teeka hota hai, and I give him one nariyal and lots of fruits.”

The actress reminisced about their childhood, admitting they were “two lunatics trying to kill each other.” However, life’s challenges brought them closer, with Vinay stepping up as a father figure and the family’s pillar of strength. “He has made up for the years and the silly, stupid fights we used to have,” she said.

Nia considers their bond “super strong” and describes her brother as “calmer and more emotionally vulnerable than me.” Recent health issues faced by Vinay have further strengthened their relationship. “I think I grew closer to him then,” she revealed. “I get very emotional and protective about my brother. Thankfully, he’s doing great now.”

Despite the virtual celebration, Nia expressed excitement for Bhai Dooj and looks forward to connecting with her brother remotely.
