**KOCHIM, November 4, 2024:** R. Aravind, Superintendent of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Cochin zonal unit, has been awarded the ‘Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak’ for his outstanding work in investigating an international drug trafficking syndicate.
Aravind was recognized for his crucial role in unraveling a major pseudoephedrine trafficking operation spanning Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and India. The NCB investigation identified properties worth ₹90 crore, believed to be the proceeds of the criminal activity. Five individuals involved in the drug trafficking network were also apprehended.
The award, presented by the Ministry of Home Affairs, acknowledges Aravind’s dedication and exceptional investigative skills in dismantling a complex international drug ring.
