**Hyderabad, November 4th, 2024** – The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department today announced the results of the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET), conducted between October 3rd and 21st. A total of 1,87,256 candidates qualified out of 3,68,661 who appeared for the exam, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 50.79%.

The results are available on the official website – aptet.apcfss.in. Candidates can access their scorecards by logging in using their hall ticket number and other required credentials. The scorecards will display details such as candidate name, roll number, qualifying status, marks secured, and percentage scored.

This year’s AP TET saw a slight decrease in the pass percentage compared to last year, where 1,37,903 candidates out of 2,35,907 qualified, achieving a pass percentage of 58.4%.

The exam was conducted in two shifts – from 9:30 am to 12 pm and from 2:30 to 5 pm. It was originally scheduled between August 5th and 20th but was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

The AP TET is a crucial examination for aspiring teachers in Andhra Pradesh. Qualifying the exam makes candidates eligible to apply for teaching positions in state schools. While the AP TET certificate is valid for a lifetime, it’s important to note that it is just one of the eligibility criteria for teacher recruitment.

The final selection process involves further evaluation based on the written test in the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) which holds an 80% weightage, with the AP TET scorecard carrying a 20% weightage.
