Sun Nov 03 23:27:42 UTC 2024: ## Bahrain Malayalees Celebrate Kerala Piravi with Musical Album “മ”
**Manama, Bahrain:** In a heartwarming tribute to Kerala Piravi, a group of talented artists in Bahrain have come together to create a musical album titled “മ” (pronounced “Ma”). The album features over 50 singers of various ages from the community, showcasing their love for their homeland through song and dance.
This unique project was spearheaded by Shibin P Siddique, a prominent music composer and arranger in Bahrain, with lyrics penned by Sreejith Sreekumar. The album faced several challenges, including assembling a large number of singers and recording their performances in a limited space. However, the support of the Bahrain Kerala Samajam Music Club ensured its success.
“മ” is a visual spectacle, featuring elaborate choreography by Sarangi, Do. Sithara, and Sindhu. The music club artists themselves took on the challenge of bringing the album to life with stunning visuals. The choreography is further enhanced by traditional elements like the “sopanam” chenda, “vishnu nataka grama” kalari, and costumes designed by a team led by Aneena Mariam, Sajeevan Kannapuram, and Lalitha Dharmaraj.
The musical composition is a collaborative effort, drawing on the talent of several musicians from Kerala. The album, produced by Ratheesh Puthanpura, is available on the Bahrain Kerala Samajam’s YouTube channel, powered by Dreams Digital Media.
This unique celebration of Kerala Piravi in Bahrain is a testament to the enduring love and cultural connection of Malayalees, even when they are miles away from their homeland.
