**Jharkhand:** The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of misleading people with its election manifesto, “Sankalp Patra.” The party claims that while the manifesto highlights the protection of tribal land and security, the BJP has no right to speak for the tribals.
The RJD cites the example of the Adani Power Plant in Godda, where land was forcibly acquired from villagers to establish the plant. While the power generated is being sold to Bangladesh, the RJD alleges that this project has led to mass displacement of tribal communities.
Furthermore, the RJD criticizes the BJP’s claims about progress, stating that India ranks high in global hunger rankings, highlighting a disconnect between promises and reality. The party challenges the BJP to present concrete evidence of their achievements.
