Sun Nov 03 16:06:46 UTC 2024: ## England Take Early Control in Second ODI Against West Indies

**ANTIGUA:** England has taken an early lead in the second ODI against West Indies at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, thanks to a brilliant start from young pace bowler John Turner.

Turner, playing in only his second international match, took two wickets in his first two overs to leave the West Indies struggling early on. His maiden international wicket came in the form of Brandon King, who was caught at backward point after edging a drive. Turner followed this up quickly, getting rid of Evin Lewis with a short-pitched ball that Lewis could only tickle down to the keeper.

This is a promising start for the 22-year-old Turner, who has impressed in domestic cricket, taking 14 wickets in first-class matches, 35 in List A matches, and 42 in T20 matches. Despite going wicketless in his debut match, Turner has demonstrated his talent in this match, proving to be a valuable asset to the English bowling attack.

England will be hoping Turner can continue his form and help them level the series after losing the first ODI.
