**Sirkazhi, November 3, 2024** – A tragic collision between a motorcycle and a private bus near Sirkazhi on Sunday claimed the lives of two young men. The victims, identified as M. Mahesh Kumar and J. Satheesh Kumar, both 20 years old, were riding the motorcycle with their friend P. Santhosh Kumar, 19.
According to the Pudupattinam police, the accident occurred on the Thirumullaivasal Road, near the Vinayakakudi Porai Canal Bridge. The motorcycle, carrying the three friends, lost control and skidded. A private bus traveling from Sirkazhi to Pazhayar then collided with the motorcycle. Satheesh Kumar and Santhosh Kumar, who were riding pillion, were killed instantly.
Mahesh Kumar, the driver of the motorcycle, sustained injuries and was rushed to the Sirkazhi Government Hospital. The bus driver, identified as Saravanan, fled the scene after the accident. Police have launched a search operation for him.
The Pudupattinam police have taken up an investigation into the accident.
