**Dindori, Madhya Pradesh:** A pregnant tribal woman was allegedly forced to clean bloodstains from a hospital bed in Dindori, Madhya Pradesh, after her husband bled to death on it. The incident sparked outrage and prompted swift action by authorities.
Roshani Bai, five months pregnant, was reportedly made to wash the bloodstains on Saturday, following the death of her husband, Raghuraj Maravi (28). Raghuraj had been admitted to the government primary health centre on Thursday night after being attacked by relatives over a land dispute.
Hospital authorities have suspended nursing officer Rakumari Markam and helper Chotti Bai Thakur, and transferred medical officer Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh in response to the incident.
The attack that led to Raghuraj’s death was reportedly the result of a dispute over crop harvesting on a piece of land in Lalpur village. Raghuraj’s brother Shivraj Maravi (40) and father Dharam Singh Maravi (65) were also killed in the attack, while another brother, Ramraj, remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Police are investigating the incident and the cause of the dispute.
