**Hyderabad, November 3, 2024** – The Telangana Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (THANA) hosted its annual conference, THANACON 2024, in Hyderabad on Sunday. The one-day event, organized by the Greater Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy District, Medchal and Vikarabad branch of the association, saw over 500 doctors from across Telangana in attendance.

The conference was inaugurated by N. Ravinder Nayak, Director of Public Health and Family Welfare for Telangana. THANA State president V.S. Rao and general secretary Prasad highlighted the event’s focus on addressing challenges faced by both hospitals and nursing homes.

The conference featured panel discussions and scientific sessions led by healthcare experts from across India. Key topics included navigating consumer forum cases, ensuring the survival of smaller hospitals, and the implementation of the AarogyaSri scheme.

A central theme of THANACON 2024 was the importance of improving healthcare quality through accreditation, particularly by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH).
