**MEMPHIS, TN -** Jake Wells, a Memphis Grizzlies guard, made the most of his first-ever NBA start on Thursday, leading the team in three-pointers and scoring 16 points in a 122-99 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Wells stepped up in the absence of injured starters Marcus Smart and Desmond Bane, showcasing his offensive prowess with 5-for-9 shooting from the field, including three successful three-pointers. He also contributed seven rebounds and one assist in 36 minutes of play.
Wells’ performance tied him with NBA legend Scotty Pippen for third-highest scorer on the Grizzlies’ roster, behind Ja Morant (26 points) and Santi Aldama (19 points).
