The Las Vegas Raiders are facing another week of offensive line shuffling, with injuries leaving the team with a number of potential starting lineup combinations ahead of their Sunday matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Center Andre James missed Wednesday’s practice due to an injury sustained last week, while right guard Dylan Parham returned after a two-week absence. This has led to extensive reshuffling of the interior line, with Jordan Meredith filling in at right guard, Jackson Powers-Johnson moving from left guard to center, and Cody Whitehair stepping in at left guard.
“It’s just in such a flux right now,” Raiders Offensive Coordinator Luke Getsy admitted. “Everything’s on the table, honestly. That’s the cool part, when you have guys that are smart in Dylan and Cody and Jordan and Jackson, you’re able to figure out at the end of the week what’s the best fit.”
The uncertainty means that five different players could start at the three interior spots, creating four potential starting line combinations. While the instability may cause headaches for the coaching staff, it also demonstrates the team’s depth and adaptability. The Raiders will need to find a stable solution soon, however, as they prepare to face a tough Bengals defense.
